Scavenger Hunt
Teams of 5 or 6 people meet up at Spitale's Restaurant to receive a list of items to retrieve. Pre-registration is $5 and $6 at the door. You may pick up a registration form at Amite Tangi Digest, Spitale's Restaurant and Brandon's Furniture. Oyster Royalty Reception
First Guaranty Bank of Amite hosts an annual Oyster Reception in honor of all of our Oyster Royalty.

Chili Cook-off
Teams of 4 compete for the title of "Best Chilli" in town. Judging takes place at 6 pm in front of the Amite Fire Station. Come pick out your favorite recipe with free samples. For more information contact Georgette at (985) 748-9412.
Carnival
Lowery Carnival Company will be providing the rides and games again this year. Carnival will open at 3 pm on Friday, March 14. New thrills this year consists of the gyroxtreme and helicopter rides. Come see the city in a whole new way.

Oyster Parade
Route will begin at Amite Elementary on Vernon onto Hwy 16 West straight through town.. It will stop at our newest restuarant in town, Murphy's Family Restuarant for the Toast. It will then continue west to North Second St.( Amite City Cleaners also known as Guzzardo's Dry Cleaning) It will then continue 3 blocks to the fairgrounds. This year's Grand Marshall is Amite native Representative John Bel Edwards. For more information regarding the parade contact the Amite Chamber of Commerce at (985) 748-5537.
Pageant
What is a festival without it's royalty? There are several categories to choose from. Begining with infants all the way to Queen. Starting this year, the pageants will take place after the festival on March 31. For more information contact Jeri at (985) 748-7156.
Musical Entertainment
We offer a variety of music from country, to oldies, to rock and roll. They began Friday night at 5 pm with the last band starting at 8 pm. On Saturday from 11 am to 11pm, with a break to host the Oyster Eating Contest. Sunday afternoon enjoy the voices of our local church choirs.
